The Chairman of Societe Cooperative Vigneronne des Grandes Caves, Mr. Ilan Levine, and the CEO of Carmel Winery, Mr. David Ziv, have jointly announced that Mr. Ziv will be stepping down from his position.

David Ziv became Managing Director of Carmel in 2002. During this time he has initiated a program of renewal at the company. This has included introducing the concept of single vineyard & regional wines, the creation of the Handcrafted Wines of Israel consortium, the building of a start-up winery at Ramat Dalton and the new boutique winery at Zichron. Ziv was also Chairman of Yatir Winery, which in just over a year after its launch, has been credited as one of the finest boutique wineries in Israel.

Ilan Levine and colleagues on the Board of S.C.V. expressed regrets and credited Ziv,  with bringing Carmel to a new era of quality. They wished him success in the future.  David Ziv will stay in his position until a replacement is appointed.
