>> Letters » Israeli wines in Los Angeles

As the co-founder and executive editor of Women & Wine (www.womenwine.com), the author of the Jewish memoir-cookbook "Let Us Eat Cake: Adventures in Food and Friendship" (HarperCollins), and a frequent speaker on food and wine, I have been asked to participate in a dinner for 250 at the (non-profit) American University of Judaism in Los Angeles on November 8. Speakers will include Joan Nathan and Judy Zeidler, top U.S. Jewish cookbook authors.

I am hoping to introduce Israeli wines to the 200 food-and-wine-loving guests. I would be thrilled to get wine donated for 250 people -- perhaps four cases, mixed.  I would then interview the vintners by email, so that I can discuss the wines and describe how they're made. If the wineries have representatives who could come and speak about the wines instead, that would be even better.  I'm sure that many of the guests will want to purchase wines;

Thank you for helping me in this matter.

Best,

Sharon Boorstin
