High Check Control Ltd ("High Check"), an Israeli start-up company, was founded in 2006.
High Check is developing proprietary technologies and systems for the measurement and control of liquids in industrial tanks.
Initial product focus is on the global wine industry, where quality production, especially in the fermentation process, is dependent on the ability to accurately monitor and control several key factors.
Globally, wine production in 2006 was over 28 billion liters (+1.8% compared to 2005).
Despite the huge size of the market, its increasing competitiveness and the importance of quality, the world's 8,000 medium and large wineries (using 400,000 tanks) suffer substantial losses since they lack the ability to monitor several critical production parameters. Many of these problems are shared by other industries.
High Check received seed funding through the Chief Scientist in the Israel Ministry of Industry. High Check received investment from an American “angel” investor and from a Singaporean company (that provides engineering & safety services for the oil and gas industry).
