A new wine book has been published called ‘The Wine Route of Israel.’ It is produced by Yaron Goldfisher, edited by Eliezer Sacks and published by Cordinata Publishing House. ‘The Wine Route of Israel’ was launched at Israwinexpo – Israel’s first international wine exhibition in Tel Aviv.

Two editions of their book ‘Shvill Ha’Yayin’ were published in Hebrew, each time with new wineries added. In this brand new English edition, the reader will find details of no less than 75 wineries, some of which did not appear in the Hebrew version. Each winery is set out in one of eight clearly defined regions, with detailed maps, making it a perfect guide for serious wine tourists. There are details about the winemakers, wines and vineyards for each individual winery. There are also invaluable articles on the Israel wine industry, ancient wine culture, kosher wine and what it takes to start a boutique winery.

The book is in classic coffee table style with many photographs showing the beauty and variety of Israel’s vineyards and wineries. It is a must for all wine lovers, for anyone seeking to find out more about Israel’s wineries and is the perfect present for friends abroad who love Israel.

It joins ‘Rogov’s Guide To Israel Wines’ by Daniel Rogov and ‘The Bible of Israel Wines’ by Michael Ben Joseph as recently published books in English on Israeli wines. However each is very different - one does not contradict the other and the expert on Israeli wines will have all three in their library. ‘The Wine Route of Israel’ will join the other two books in being available in the Israeli bookshop chain Steimatzki and at winery visitors centers.
