In the recent B.T.I. tastings in Chicago, two Israeli wines succeeded in scoring more than 90 points – which is extremely rare in America. The wines were:

Yatir Cabernet Merlot 2001 - received 91 points and was placed in the ‘Exceptional’ category

Yatir Forest 2001 – received 90 points, also in the ‘Exceptional’ category, but was also named as ‘Cellar Selection’ – a good wine to put away for a few years.

The Beverage Testing Institute is one of the most reputable tasting competitions in America.

Yatir Winery, launched only in February 2004, is already exported to 8 countries.
