One of the world’s most famous wine tasting competitions has announced its results for the 2005 competition. The Challenge International du Vin in Bordeaux awarded one gold medal, four silver and nine bronze to Israel. The gold medal winner was Yatir Winery for their Yatir Forest 2001. Other wineries winning medals included Binyamina, Barkan, Carmel, Golan Heights & Tishbi.

Challenge International du Vin, which in previous years was associated with ‘Vinexpo’, is France’s premier wine tasting competition. This year 4,860 wines were submitted from 35 countries.
