Sha’al Gewurztraminer Late Harvest 2004, produced by Carmel Winery, was awarded 95 points by famous wine writer, Howard Goldberg, in two important tastings recently held. The tastings were for the best ‘High End Kosher Wines’ in Wine Review Online (featuring wines from all over the world) & for the best Israeli wines in Wine News Magazine. Carmel’s highly regarded dessert wine was the top ranking wine in both tastings.
Carmel therefore has become the first Israeli winery to be awarded 95 points by an international critic following a formal tasting.
