Handcrafted Wines of Israel were on show at a very prestigious tasting in Holland. In Venlo in the south of the country is a famous wine store whose speciality is boutique wines from around the world. The annual tasting they hold is an eagerly awaited affair, attended by wine press from all over Europe.
This year, for the first time, amongst the boutique wineries from Australia, California, France & Germany, Israeli wines were represented. Oded Shoham, the export manager for Handcrafted Wines of Israel made the journey to show the wines from:
Castel
Margalit
Tzora
Yatir
The wines created a great deal of interest partly because of their quality, but the surprise was greater because no-one present had any idea that Israel was producing world class wines. The wines of these four wineries are now available in this specialist wine shop. A shop window of the finest from Israel, amongst the finest from around the world.
Whilst in Holland, Oded Shoham took the opportunity to show two other wineries for a small group of wine shops looking for an exclusivity. The wineries were:

Bazelet ha Golan
The results of the tasting are eagerly awaited to see if Handcrafted Wines is able to achieve further listings.
