Professor Ben Ami Bravdo is the recipient of the OIV Merit Award to be presented by The International Organisation of Wine and Vine at their General Assembly in Verona, Italy. This prestigious award was recommended by the OIV’s Scientific and Technological Committee. The OIV is the world’s body that administers grapes and viticulture throughout the world. This award reflects great credit on both Professor Bravdo and the Israel wine industry. For seventeen years Professor Bravdo has been the Israeli representative to the OIV. He has chaired research and development committees and contributed his own expertise to the international organization. He has had his research papers published internationally and is in demand as a lecturer both in Israel and abroad. Ben Ami Bravdo is Professor of Viticulture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Agriculture. He is also owner of his own boutique winery, called Carmei Yosef Winery. |
