High Check Control Ltd ("High Check"), an Israeli start-up company, was founded in 2006. High Check is developing proprietary technologies and systems for the measurement and control of liquids in industrial tanks. Initial product focus is on the global wine industry, where quality production, especially in the fermentation process, is dependent on the ability to accurately monitor and control several key factors. Globally, wine production in 2006 was over 28 billion liters (+1.8% compared to 2005). Despite the huge size of the market, its increasing competitiveness and the importance of quality, the world's 8,000 medium and large wineries (using 400,000 tanks) suffer substantial losses since they lack the ability to monitor several critical production parameters. Many of these problems are shared by other industries. High Check will be the first company to offer a complete management solution (patent pending, February 2007), offering: a) Real time measurement of critical chemical values which are not currently measured at all in tanks, only in laboratories, such as: Specific Gravity, Brix, Alcohol (Ethanol), Glucose, Fructose, pH, Residual Sugar, Acetic Acid and others. b) Temperature measurement at various heights of the tank. c) Height measurement in an innovative way, including heterogenic liquids and as chemical reactions occurs. Over fill protection and leaks detection. d) Display and processing of required values on a computer screen (+web), i.e. modernization of traditional processes. e) ERP integration. f) One product, one simple installation, sterilized. The company protects its position by a patent pending (2/2007). The company is developing in coordination with the engineering department of Bar-Ilan University ( Existing systems in the market offer a partial solution. NO COMPETITIVE PRODUCT IN MARKET TODAY ! High Check's system offers an average winery, with 50 tanks, a payback on investment of less than 1 year. A successful trial test of 3 prototypes in tanks full with red and white wines started on August 2007 at High Check received seed funding through the Chief Scientist in the Israel Ministry of Industry.
