Yatir Winery is the first Israeli winery to succeed in being listed in the wine shop of Selfridges, one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious and luxury stores. The main wine selection is small and focused on quality. The wine buyers have in the past chosen three Greek wines, two Lebanese wines but Israeli wines had always been relegated to a separate kosher section. Now for the first time the general wine lover is able to choose two Israeli wines: Yatir Forest 2001 and Yatir Cabernet Merlot 2001 amongst other wines from the same region. This is a breakthrough as far as Israel is concerned.   Yatir Forest 2001 was awarded two stars in the 2005 Pocket Wine Book.   November 2004
